7/09/08
Cambridge Autumn Regatta
All in all, a pretty good day albeit a frustrating end (cancelled
due to bad weather before the finals)...

Peterborough Summer Regatta
Only two boats out today. Neither won but both put in strong
performances, especially the Women's S4 4+ who came second overall,
seeing off some very strong competition.

St Neots Summer Regatta
A great weekend again at St. Neots. As well as having a really nice
time, we came away with two wins - one for the S3 4x crew on
Saturday and the de-novicing Women's N 4+ crew on Sunday. A big
turn-out for MKRC with singles, doubles, fours, quads and a Men's
eight. Full details on the MK Rowing Club
blog.

Cambridge Head2Head / Regatta 2008
Our first time at this event - a long day but successful! Both the
Women's S3 8+ and "Men's" S3 4x- went in the Head2Head, with the
Quad posting the fastest quad of the day (only quad of the day, but
still...).
In the Regatta, the Women's Novice 4+ won their first round but lost
out in the final. The "Men's" (Jo Heywood, Rob Heywood, Graham
Targett and Steve Lawson) S3 4x- then won their straight final
against Rob Roy to collect "virtual" pots, before Steve and Rob went
out for one last race in the Vet C 2x-
Great fun, especially watching the starts of the Regatta races from
our prime position at Pembroke College Boat Club (thanks to Rick!)

Bedford Amateur Regatta 2008
Just one crew out today, the Men's S2 4+ of Paul Floodgate, Dean
Abraham, Nick Cresswell and Will Jordan, coxed by Greg Denieffe. The
won their first round convincingly (2 lengths of Kingston A) but
went out to a very strong Lea crew in the second round.
